By visiting this site you agree to follow these terms.

Behave politely. Do not perform acts that will prevent the site from operating normally. Do not harass users.

Examples of unaccepted behaviour includes, but is not limited to:

• automated account creation
• posting advertisement or other "spam" content
• posting disruptive content, such as
  • strobing animations
  • content exccessively and/or needlessly formatted in attention grabbing ways, such as:
  • large typeface
  • unusual colors
  • all upper-case
  • gibberish
• attempting to waste our resources
• attempting to block users from accessing the site
• attempting to use our resources for your own purpose, such as file hosting
• sending illegal threats to our users
• impersonating users, both staff and regular users
• posting inflammatory content in order to provoke users
• plagiarism
• using our hosted content on unrelated sites, commonly referred to as "hotlinking"

Violations of these rules may result in punishment at the judgement of our moderating staff. Possible punishment includes, but is not limited to:

• Replacement of the offending content
• Removal of the offending content.
• Verbal warnings not to do it.
• Temporary or permanent refusal of service. (Bans)
• Technical measurements to prevent future occurrences
• Legal action

While we strive to keep our information correct and updated, we do not provide any guarantees that the content is correct.

We appreciate notifications of inaccuracies, but we reserve the right to reject them.

Copyright

Capcom content

We redistribute a lot of copyrighted content from the games for free. We do not claim to have created such content. We do not own any rights to the content. We do however own the rights to the aggregation of the content.

CR.net exclusive content

A lot of the content on this site is creative works created specifically for CR.net. You are not allowed to redistribute it without express permission.

Examples of exclusive content includes, but is not limited to:

• Plot summaries
• Character profiles

Submitted content

(The short version: if you submit something, you're giving us the right to show it on the site. Otherwise none of this would work!)

By submitting content to us you agree to grant us the worldwide, non time-limited, non exclusive, right to republish it without us having to pay any fees provided that we provide attribution when the content is used.

Creative content is defined to be creative works that you have earned copyright to. This excludes derived works that have not done any meaningful changes. For example, the acts of extracting data (such as "sprites"), taking photos, making snapshots and recoding video are not considered making any meaningful changes.

You accept that content may be edited, automatically or manually, to better present it as long as the integrity of the work is not violated.

We do not guarantee that submitted content will be used even if we have the rights to do so. We do not guarantee that used content will be available.

We reserve the right to censor content for the purposes of hiding spoilers and to remove inappropriate content.

Content removal policy

We remove content when given notice that we do not have the rights to publish it and the owner wishes us to remove it.

Account closing policy

Only accounts made in bad faith, such as by spambots, will be deleted. Posted content will only be removed if it violates the site rules. Otherwise, content will remain published as long as we have the rights to do so. As noted elsewhere on this page, that is forever for user contributed content.

Backups

Deleted content may be contained in backups. We claim fair use on such occurrences and will not edit our backups to remove content.

Privacy

The use of cookies

This site uses cookies to track your active session. Session data expires an hour after you last visited the site.

We only store the following data in session:

• The id of the currently logged in user, if any
• The time the session was last used

We do not currently datamine sessions to track usage patterns.

Emails

We do not, have never, and will never, share your email with adverticers without your explicit concent and request.

All emails we send are directly addressed to you and only contains material directly relating to your explicitly stated interests or issues directly related to your account.

In practical terms it means that we send out regular emails about notifications that you have missed. Notification sources include forum activity that you explicitly choose to monitor (there are no defaults), updates to fanfiction that you are subscribed to, personal messages and warnings from our moderation staff.

We make our best effort to not leak your email address. Only authorized staff members can see your email address.

We do not share your email address with any 3rd parties.
