Brief Physical Description:
Ian is a fit, tall adult man. He has hazel green eyes and slightly curled light auburn hair. When he’s at work, his hair will be combed and normal, but once he warms up to someone or he’s on his break, his hair will loosen up and reveal a twirly lock. He has freckles scattered up on his cheeks. During work you’ll always see him wearing his uniform.

Brief Personality Description:
During work, Ian is a responsible, firm and determined man that takes work, especially his, very seriously. However, this changes completely when he’s with a close friend or in his free time, as his personality switches to a friendly, bubbly and carefree one.
He’s described as a highly dependable and hardworking leader that everyone respects. He loves his wife and family above anything else, and would do anything to protect them.

Connection to canon characters:
He has a good friendship with Ema Skye and studied with her during their college years. Although they’re not best friends, she was almost like a role model for him to look up to. Despite Ema insisting it wasn’t necessary, he would, and always will, address her as “Miss Skye”.

Brief Background:
Inspired by his father, ever since he was a child, Ian has always wanted to work with the police, and as he grew up he became interested in studying to be a forensic scientist. When he started his college years, he realized he wasn’t the best for it. He’d struggle with practices and subjects related to forensics, so he would turn to Ema to help him. She would radiate such energy when it came to forensics, so naturally Ian was sure he could trust her with his questions and difficulties. Because of that, Ian started to respect and admire Ema’s dedication, and to this day holds her in high regard.
Despite sharing their passion for forensics, both failed the exams to apply for their dream job, and unlike Ema who kept pushing to become a forensic scientist, Ian decided to change his way to the security path. After meeting his soon-to-be wife, he had to train for a few years to be accepted as a security officer. Driven by need to support and protect his family, he worked his way up to what he is today.
Right now, he works as the Chief security officer at Steel Work Home Appliances. He is in charge of everything a chief security officer would, but he is usually supervising and monitoring the security devices placed inside and outside the building. He is the one behind the security cameras and paperwork surrounding them.

Trivia:
His last name Securite comes from “sécurité” (“security” in french) which is connected to his “security officer” job. His first name Ian mostly comes from the similarity with “I am”. Placed together, the idea is that it means “I am security”.

His ahoge (Japanese term that means foolish hair, used for a lock of hair that sticks out) changes shape depending on his mood and movements: it’ll twirl when he’s happy, go flat when he’s sad, turn stiff when he’s tense, choked or surprised, etc. The only time it isn’t present is when he’s serious and focused on his work.
